전자제품의 낙하충격 평가시스템 구축에 관한 연구

As high-end 3C (Computer, Communication, and Consumer Electronics) products, which are lightweight, slim and compact, are popularized to market, the impact design is highly needed in 3C manufacturers. The damage induced from drop impact is main reason of the fracture of 3C products. Most of impact design is still focused on the exterior housing fracture by experimental drop tests using accelerometer and complicated parametric analyses. However, the induced damage from drop impact remains not only on exterior housing parts but also on interior components. In this paper to evaluate both internal damage and external damage advanced drop impact system is developed. General impact behavior is inspected optical inspection using high speed camera and X-ray and then the results of highly advanced image inspection are correlated with the FE results using ABAQUS/Explicit. The new impact evaluation system was applied to a lithium ion rechargeable battery. The advanced drop system provides new insights in impact design of 3C products.
