Additional Magnetic Dispersed Phase Improves the Mr-Fluid Properties

The main characteristics of the MR-fluid are the stability and sensitivity of its effective viscosity to an applied magnetic field. Such systems must be well fluid outside the applied field, as the viscosity increases many times in the magnetic field. A method is proposed for improving the MR-fluid properties by adding an additional high-dispersed magnetosolid powder to it. A relatively small content of magnetosolid particles causes a more than 9-fold increase of the MR-fluid viscosity in the magnetic field.
