Figures are presented for traffic accidents related to alcohol and to other drugs in Denmark in 1989 and 1995. The problems caused by lack of available testing methods for drugs other than alcohol are outlined. Only a small number of cases are available for analysis but of those available the different types of drug detected are listed together with their frequency for the two years. The cases are analysed in terms of age and sex. The effects seen are related to social factors. For the covering abstract see IRRD 893732.
