Developing senior capstone projects: panel discussion

The literature is filled with positive aspects and results of undergraduate students completing significant project work as part of the computing sciences curriculum. Indeed, the IEEE-CS/ACM Joint Computing Curriculum strongly urges the inclusion of a capstone project course. Still, many small liberal arts colleges tread carefully, concerned whether developing and implementing a capstone project course is within their reach. In fact, even faculty at mid-sized schools that do not presently include projects as part of their curriculum may be seeking a little direction as to where and how to begin the process.
