Entrepreneurs and Ventures: An Attempt at Classification and Clarification

Confusion about concepts and terminology can be reduced by classifying types of entrepreneurs and their ventures. Three new concepts are introduced which relate to the independent entrepreneurial venture: (a) the Four-P Index (perceived payoff per principal), (b) the Life-Cycle of the Independent Entrepreneurial Venture, and (c) the “Succession of Firms” Concept.
