A Conservative Approach for Investigation of Transient Overvoltage Acceptability in Customers’ Terminals by Considering Voltage Vulnerability Curves of Customers

The main goal of this letter is introducing a new method for analyzing the vulnerability of costumers’ equipment due to the transient over voltages. For this purpose, a method by using the cumulative curve of transient voltages in the customer terminal is proposed. By comprising this curve with the intersection of customers’ acceptable voltage curves, the safety operation of customers in the presence of over voltages will be guaranteed.
