Reliability of Utensils Manufacturing Plant — A Case Study

The paper examines the reliability and availability of an utensils manufacturing plant assuming constant failure and repair rates for various machines in the manufacturing plant. The differential equations associated with the system are solved using Laplace transforms. The reliability and long run availability of the system are discussed followed by a case study carried out.
