Stability analysis of shotcrete-bolting-mesh support of a foundation pit in Wuhan

This paper introduces an example of a foundation pit engineering in Wuhan using shotcrete-bolting-mesh support.Taking the district Ⅶ as example,the internal and external stabilities of the pit are calculated.Swedish slices method is used to calculate the integral stability of the pit,and the results are that the integral stability coefficient is 8.9,the anti-pulling safety factors of bolts are 5.40,2.57 and 1.55,the stability coefficient against sliding is 1.4 and the anti-toppling safety factor is 12.3,all of which meet the safety need.In a word,the engineering proves to be successful through the checking calculations.The research provides very useful and beneficial experiences for the design and construction of deep foundation pit in Wuhan.
