The research on open teaching model based on CDIO

The open teaching method can not only help students achieve the knowledge construction on their own initiative, but also master the effective learning strategies as well as contribute to the development of their learning habit. The introduction of the engineering education concept of CDIO is quite helpful to overcome the drawbacks of the traditional open teaching. Taking the engineering education concept as the guiding principle, we can build an open teaching model with 4 layers, which is based on the four stages — conceiving, designing, implementing and operating. The application of this teaching model can promote the outcome of the open teaching method.
