The control method comprises the following steps: a. obtaining the transaction types of transactions launched by the set top boxes; b. confirming the risk levels of the transactions according to the transaction types; c. confirming a plurality of risk control factors according to the risk levels; and d. prompting users corresponding to the transactions to process the plurality of risk control factors. The invention further provides a transaction processing system based on the set top boxes. The transaction processing system comprises a plurality of set top boxes, display equipment, and a background processing system, wherein the display equipment corresponds to the plurality of set top boxes. Each set top box comprises a control device used for executing the control method. According to the control method and the system, the transaction types of the transactions launched by the set top boxes can be automatically judged with the aid of artificial intelligence, the risk factors needing to be provided by the users can be confirmed, and safety levels of the transactions based on the set top boxes are improved.
