Dynamic Visual Servoing with Nonlinear Model-Based Control

Abstract This paper proposes a control theoretic formulation for visual feedback system. A nonlinear state space model is derived which incorporates the robot dynamics as well as the camera characterisics. A model-based control algorithm which compensates the robot dynamics is also proposed. Simulations and experiments with a two link direct drive robot are carried out to evaluate the proposed scheme.
