Energy Harvesting System Model Based on Reverse Electrowetting

The paper presents a model for energy generation from reverse electrowetting on the dielectric phenomenon, verified with the experimental data. The model represents a REWOD system with two electrodes, codded in Matlab, accurately describes droplet geometry, electrostatic interactions, energy generation, and Debye length limitation, due to gravity effects. The error of the model is comparable with the measurement error of the experimental data. It allows predictions of the harvested energy from spontaneous aperiodic mechanical movements when material properties are known.
