Research on the user-defined modeling of HVDC converter firing control based on ADPSS/ETSDAC

This paper has carried out a research on the user-defined modeling of the trigger control module of HVDC converter based on ADPSS/ETSDAC simulation platform is carried out in this paper. A detailed digital simulation model is also constructed. Firstly, an electromagnetic transient simulation model of the HVDC primary system is put up on the ADPSS/ETSDAC simulation platform. On this basis, user-defined method is applied to build simulation models of the module centered on the converter firing control, as well as its surrounding independent functional modules. The key function modules of the simulation model are analyzed in detail and the response curves are given. Finally, taking Longquan-Zhengping HVDC project as an example, this paper has compared and analyzed the DC line voltage and current waveforms obtained from the user-defined model and the actual HVDC project when instantaneous grounding faults occur on the DC line to show the validity and effectiveness of the user-defined model.
