Method for identifying email and method for identifying email servers

The present invention discloses a method for identifying email and a method for identifying email servers. The method for identifying E-mail includes identifying a message body carried by an Internet Protocol (IP) packet; searching for features of an email in the message body; and determining whether the IP packet is associated with email according to the searching result, wherein the features of an email message include multiple words. The method is capable of identifying email sent by a non-standard email protocol so as to improve precision of identifying email.
