It makes a brief description of the forms and main parameters of the β Stirling engine with the rhombic drive mechanism. The paper makes a deep analysis and found mathematical models on the cycle performance of β Stirling engine, illustrates the mathematical relationship among the power, pressure, working fluid volume, temperature and efficiency. It makes an experimental prototype design which through the analysis before, embeds the mathematical model into the design parameters, and conducts an actual verification about the results of theoretical derivation. The results proved the feasibility of the design, and reflected the impact factors of the power. It will lay the theoretical foundation for the engine’s design and research, and will be in favor of the development and utilization of the biomass energy in the new period.
