Demonstration of distributed mesh restoration and auto-provisioning in a WDM network using a large optical cross-connect

We report the first demonstration of distributed restoration and auto-provisioning for the WDM mesh network, using four nodes, five links, and twelve 2.5 Gb/s unidirectional demands. The measured restoration time is <50 ms.
