Application of the PML absorbing layer model to the linear elastodynamic problem in anisotropic hete

We present and analyze a perfectly matched absorbing layer model for the velocity-stress formulation of elastodynamics. This layer has the astonishing property of generating no reflection at the interface between the free medium and the artificial absorbing medium. This allows us to obtain very low spurious reflection even with very thin layers. Several experiments show the efficiency and the generality of the model.
