Acoustic Behavior and Physiology of Vocalization in the European Tree Frog, Hyla Arborea (L.)

It was about ten years ago that bio-acoustic methods were first systematically applied to the study of the European anurans (Schneider 1966a, b). The results that have since been obtained are numerous, for so short a span of time (Heinzmann 1970; Heusser 1970; Lorcher 1966, 1969; Obert 1971, 1974, 1975a, b, c; Schmid 1976; Schneider 1973; Schneider and Eichelberg 1974; Wahl 1969; Weber 1974, 1975, 1976; Weber and Schneider 1971).
