Next generation hybrid OCDMA-WDM-PON with soft capacity

This paper proposes and theoretically demonstrates OCDMA-WDM-PON system supporting 16, 000–32, 000 available subscribers. Chaotic spread spectrum sequences are investigated to break a new path for encoding. Simulation results indicate that 10−12 BER can be achieved.
