The 2 Mbit/s Optic-interfaces Technology for Relay Protection and Communication Devices with Protection Channel Multiplexing

There are problems in current power grid operation with 2 Mbit/s optic interface between the multiplexing relay protection device and optical transmission device, such as complexity of connection, lack of a unified interface standard of photoelectric conversion device, and lack of monitoring of photoelectric conversion device. Aiming at that problems, this paper proposes a new optic interface model and standard for 2 Mbit/s optical interconnection technology, and has carried out related tests. The results show that with the proposed standard of 2 Mbit/s optic interface, it is feasible for the relay protection and optical trasmission devices to interconnect and communicate to each other, but the reliability and stability are to be further verified.
