Study of improving the optoelectronic system capability to track moving targets by using acceleration delay compensation

The equivalent sine target method to measure the tracking precision of optoelectronic tracking system was presented.The concept of acceleration delay compensation was put forward.By using acceleration delay compensation,the tracking capability of optoelectronic tracking system was promoted to track fast moving targets at maximal 50°/s angular velocity and maximal 30°/s~2 angular acceleration other than maximal 30°/s angular velocity and maximal 12°/s~2 angular acceleration while the maximal tracking error was still less than 3′.The simulation and experiment results show that the theoretical analysis is correct and it is very valuable for engineering.
