A Review of Analysis Techniques and Data Collection Methods for Modeling Pedestrian Crossing Behaviors

A thorough literature review was performed in this study to gain an in depth understanding of current practices and existing knowledge gaps with respect to modeling pedestrian crossing behaviors and pedestrianvehicle interactions. The review of literature concentrated on a. current analysis methods and b. approaches for data collection and performance estimation. The synthesis presented in this paper aims at providing background information in support of future research efforts aiming at improving the modeling of pedestrian-vehicle interactions in multi-modal operational analyses.
