Deviance, perceived responsibility, and negative peer reactions.

Three studies ware conducted to examine the relation between perceived deviance and negative peer reactions. The purpose of the 1st study was to investigate what preadolescents consider as deviant and whether perceived deviance is related to social rejection. The next 2 studies were designed to examine the conceptual differences between these types of deviance and to investigate the processes mediating between deviance judgments and negative reactions
