Analysis of Existent Problems and Improving Measures in Measuring Tower's Grounding Resistance and Soil Resistivity

It is important for designing and maintaining the grounding device to measure accurately the tower's grounding resistance and soil resistivity of the transmission line. The principles and measurement of the tower's grounding resistance and soil resistivity were introduced in this paper, and the reasons of measure error aiming at the four 110 kV transmission lines in Chizhou Power Supply Bureau of An Hui province were analyzed by using data contrast, theoretical calculation and circuit models. The results indicate that measured value of the tower's grounding resistance and soil resistivity are nearly correlative to the weather, the length, the angle and the direction of assistant current and potential leads. The grounding ohmmeter of ZC29B-1 is unsuitable to measure soil resistivity because of its inside configuration.
