In order to study the effect of stabilizer bar on the rolling characteristics of Interconnected Air Suspension( IAS) vehicle,a 7-DOF full car model containing IAS modules was built and was verified by means of testing. After that, the model was used to study the rolling characteristics of IAS vehicle with no stabilizer bar dismantled, only rear stabilizer bar dismantled, and all stabilizer bars dismantled respectively. The simulation results were compared between interconnected and non-interconnected air suspensions, which show that stabilizer bar plays a bigger role in IAS vehicle than in nonIAS vehicle. In non-IAS vehicle, only 34% of rolling angle stiffness is contributed by stabilizer bars, while the percentage jumps to 96% when the air springs of the same axle are interconnected. This study provides theoretical basis for the matching of rolling angle stiffness for IAS vehicles.
