Harmonic analysis of HVDC link using impedance function matrices

The relationship between harmonic current and harmonic voltage of the dc system including ac/dc converters is analyzed. This relationship is expressed in terms of admittance function or impedance function. It is shown that it is possible to perform harmonic analysis using this relationship with the feedback effect of the ac system taken into account. The validity of the proposed method of harmonic analysis is confirmed by digital simulation. The proposed method of harmonic analysis is applicable to a wide variety of harmonic networks. It has been applied to a single-phase diode circuit and used to analyze harmonic instability phenomena.
