Genetic Fine‐Mapping of a Quantitative Trait Locus (QTL) Associated with Embryogenic Tissue Culture Response and Plant Regeneration Ability in Maize (Zea mays L.)

Many plant transformation/propagation applications rely on embryogenic cultures. Gene regions controlling embryogenic response were identified via fine mapping. A culturable line near isogenic to maize inbred B73 was developed. Results enable discovery and manipulation of tissue culture response genes.
