Hydrodynamic theory of flame propagation in an enclosed volume

Abstract We propose a hydrodynamic description of slow flame propagation in a vessel of constant volume and the associated temperature gradient effect in the combustion products. The equations are obtained as the asymptotic limit of the equations of combustion gas-dynamics when the Mach number tends to zero.
