MOOC Bandwidth Allocation Optimization Strategy

This paper proposes a bandwidth allocation strategy based on differentiated bandwidth requirements for bandwidth allocation when multiple users access teaching resources on MOOC platform. This method improves the currently used bandwidth allocation strategy–the single-chain on-demand allocation strategy: considering the high lag of the small demand event under the original strategy, the bandwidth requirement of the small event is preferentially allocated to improve the allocation efficiency of the entire system. At the same time, the long waiting requests are optimized, and the weight of the event is appropriately increased to reduce the waiting time of such requests. The simulation results show that the optimization strategy proposed in this paper significantly improves the efficiency of small event resolution and reduces the waiting time of large requests. It reflects the efficiency and fairness of the distribution strategy.
