Assistive technology techniques, tools, and tips

Abstract This chapter offers information, tips, tools, and strategies that may be employed as components in the assistive technology (AT) service delivery process. Some of the information presented is fundamental to service delivery such as the elements of employment and others are more complex such as the Matching Person and Technology Model. Other items in the AT toolkit include a brief overview of case management and standardization of processes and a discussion regarding standardization of case noting in the AT service delivery process. Taken together, the authors hope to provide information that is relevant to and will inform the fundamental practice of AT service provision from a disability-employment perspective.
