Comparison Of Shear Bond Strength Of 5th Generation Dentin Bonding Agents : Invitro Study

Several one bottle dentin bonding systems that combine primer and adhesive resin into single solution have been introduced. These materials have received considerable attention from dental profession, since clinicians often select the material which provides good bond strength and that are easiest to use. The purpose of this study was to determine the dentin shear bond strength produced with three fifth generation dentin bonding agents (Group-I Prime and Bond NT, Group II-Single bond, Group III-Syntac single component). Shear bond strength analysis was done for three groups containing ten samples in each group using three different adhesive systems. The results showed that Group I and Group II are significantly higher than Group III. However, there is no significant difference between Group I and Group II.
