Monitoring and analysis of a combustion viewing system on a GE MS6001 dry low NOx combustor. Final report

EPRI has developed a high temperature fiber optic system that uses coherent high resolution optical fiber bundles to transmit images from combustor mounted probes to high resolution color and monochrome charge coupled device (CCD) video cameras located remotely from the gas turbine. These video probes permit monitoring the combustion process of the engine in the control room. The purpose of this project was to maintain, monitor and document the operation of the EPRI combustor viewing system installed at the GE Dry Low NOx (DLN) combustor on a Frame 6 gas turbine at Jersey Central Power and Light Company.
