몬드리안의 신조형적 특성을 응용한 헤어컬러디자인에 대한 연구

Contemporary people tend to seek regular order within a complicated and fancy form when expressing their individuality. This is also the case for hair design, and thus, geometric forms with visually clear order are useful tools in expressing hair styles. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for new hair color designs and contribute to development of color designs to express individualities by creating 3-dimensional color works using hair coloring from Mondrian"s new formative characteristics who was a prime painter of geometric pattern and, through this, by completing modern and colorful hair designs within limited colors. The method of the study was to select Mondrian"s 4 works representing his new formative characteristics and used 3 primary colors which are red, yellow and blue and 3 achromatic colors which are white, grey and black. Study performed future-oriented hair cuts which can make geometric patterns and colors stand out by using vertical and horizontal lines and created 4 works which can be utilized in development of hair designs with foil work technique using hair manicure. Work 1 expresses strong image by using red and grey and work 2 displays cheerful and cute image by using blue and yellow colors while work 3 exhibits modern emotion felt in 3 achromatic colors of grey, white and black and work 4 depicts dynamic and colorful image by using 3 primary colors of yellow, blue and red and black which is an achromatic colors. Four works of the above, this study demonstrated that cuts and colors with the motif of Mondrian"s new formative characteristics harmonize with each other and created various images, which are deemed to be utilized in the development of individualistic designs in hairstyling field. This study verified that fine art can be applied to hair designs by creating hair colors with Mondrian"s painting as its motif, which are expected to be used as a basic material for hair designs adopting the paintings as their motifs. In addition to Mondrian"s works, this study also hopes that studies are continuing which utilize the works of other painters who represent other styles as the motifs of hair designs.
