Research of operations management model in batch-wise manufacturing enterprises

Compare with the discrete manufacturing industries, operations management research has paid very little attention to batch-wise process manufacturing enterprises. In this work, operations management models for batch-wise considered manufacturing enterprises were proposed. It first discussed an inventory control strategy to meet the needs of demands uncertainty and minimize the inventory cost by analyzing sale forecasting models. Considering the contract-oriented production, we illustrated the calculation methods of the planned and total production requirement amounts. Then, a batch considered material requirement calculation model is described. Methods of how to calculate the actual production volume, total material requirements volume, intermediate product volume and percentage of theoretical yield in one of production stages are discussed. Case study shows that the presented operations management method is an effective solution for batch-wise manufacturing enterprises.
