Matrix Riccati Equations in Control and Systems Theory [Book Report]

Ramine Nikoukhah is a senior scientist and directeur de recherche at INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique), Rocquencourt, France. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1988. His research interests are in the areas of systems, control, and signal processing with application to failure detection, and modeling and simulation of hybrid dynamical systems. He has been involved in the development of the open-source scientific software package Scilab, in particular, Scicos for modeling and simulating hybrid dynamical systems. He is coauthor of two books on Scilab and one book on failure detection.
