A method and a device for providing a mobile RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag-based service by using an IC chip are provided to add a module performing an RFID tag function to the mobile terminal, thereby offering the mobile RFID tag-based service to a mobile terminal through interconnection with a usual communication system. A message processor(210) receives an RFID code generation request message corresponding to an RFID service registration request of the mobile terminal when the user requests RFID service registration. An RFID code generator(230) generates an RFID code corresponding to the RFID service requested from the mobile terminal. An RFID code registration database(270) stores the generated RFID code. An RFID code authenticator(240) authenticates the RFID code when the decoded RFID code is received from the RFID network. A service code processor(250) extracts the service code from the authenticated RFID code. A service code database(260) stores the service codes.
