Smart Shut-Down and Recovery Mechanism for Industrial Machines Using Internet of Things

For predictive maintenance of motors in the industries, monitoring needs to be performed continuously so as to determine any degradation in performance or failure of the motors. This paper presents a smart shut-down and recovery mechanism with back-up system. By this mechanism, a machine can be shut down automatically before the threshold value in order to prevent it from wear and tear along with initializing the back-up machine which in turn helps in reducing the downtime and increasing the efficiency as well as reliability of the system.
