Tacitus and the Senatus consultum de Cn. Pisone patre

Dans le cadre du seminaire sur le «Senatus consultum de Cn. Pisone Patre» organise par l'APA et l'AIA a Chicago le 28 decembre 1997, l'A. etudie les relations entre Tacite et le decret du Senat du 10 decembre 20 ap JC condamnant Pison pour tentative de guerre civile contre l'empereur Tibere. Mesurant la contribution du decret public a notre comprehension de l'utilisation de l'acta senatus chez Tacite, l'A. examine la place de l'episode du proces dans le recit de l'historien, d'une part, et compare la selection chronologique des faits dans les deux temoignages anciens, d'autre part
