Data Security In Cloud Computing Environment Using SSL Protocol Authors

Cloud computing is one of today's most exciting technologies due to its ability to reduce costs associated with computing while increasing flexibility and scalability for computer processes. Cloud computing can be defined as management and provision of different resources, such as, software, applications and information as services over the cloud (internet) on demand. Cloud computing provides people a way to share large mount of distributed resources belonging to different organizations. The security of cloud computing has always been an important aspect of quality of service from cloud service providers. Cloud computing poses many new security challenges which have not been well investigated. This paper focusing on issues relating to the cloud data storage methods and security in virtual environment. SSL or Secure Sockets Layer with the use of SSL encryption, data can securely move between servers or between servers and browsers. This prevents unauthorized interceptors from reading that data.
