High Speed On-off Valve PWM Control Cylinder System with Closed Terminal

In this paper, two kinds of on-off running mode, is introduced for a cylinder system controlled by high speed on-off valve with a closed terminal, and the transfer function is obtained in simulation. one of which is adjusted by changing pressure dispersion because PWM discontinuous control of air supply can adjust nothing but response time, by the other of which duty cycle-position/pressure or pressure dispersion-position/pressure proportion control is implemented by PWM alternate control of air supply and atmosphere.Its dynamic and static feactures are provided by simulation, and on the basis of them a control method of cylinder system controlled by high speed on-off valve with a closed terminal is also provided.The result is showed by experiment that PWM position fix of the cylinder with a closed terminal can be implemented by the device and feasibility of method is validated, which is also helpful for construction of the PWM pneumatic system controlled by high speed on-off valve in theory.
