Research on seamless switching control strategy of VSC-MTDC based on OPF

With the continuous promotion of the electricity market reforming and the aggravation of global climate changing, users' requirements on power quality are gradually improving, the research on smart grid technology has great theoretical significance. The VSC-MTDC is an important way to build smart grid. This paper puts forward a seamless switching control strategy for VSC-MTDC considering optimal power flow. By selecting the control coefficient, it can not only realize the system operation under the optimal conditions, but also realize the seamless switching of the three control modes. It avoids the shortcomings of traditional control strategy. Finally, build the RT-LAB simulation model of the five-terminal HVDC system, which connected with wind power, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
