Diagnosis of bearing fault in induction motor by zero sequence current

Fault detections are essential for unexpected failures of the electrical motors. Early detection and faults diagnosis leads to effective operations. This paper deals a diagnosis of faults in three phase induction motor by means of zero-sequence stator current spectrum. The simulation and experimental setup are designed under bearing faults. Using finite element method (ANSOFT MAXWELL-2D) the motor are designed to diagnose bearing faults in three phase induction motor. The results are tabulated for 4mm and 2mm for both inner and outer race bearing faults.
