The document provides the details of analytical calculation of the dispersion relation of the infinite comb structure as well as the transmission and reflection coefficients through a finite horizontal system (Section 1), the surface Green’s function and dispersion relation of the semi-infinite system (Section 2) and the transmission and reflection coefficients through a finite vertical system with a surface defect (Section 3). In Section 4 we give the derivation of the transfer matrix elements and the electric field of periodic stubbed structure.
