Analysis of graphene loaded mm-waveguide

In this paper we present modal analysis of a rectangular mm-waveguide loaded by a dielectric slab with a double-layered graphene sheet on the air-dielectric interface inside the waveguide. The surface impedance of the double layered graphene sheet can be controlled by the applied normal electric field. This property is found to be useful to control the boundary condition at the air-dielectric interface. Thus it would be possible to control the propagating modes inside this waveguide by modifying the applied voltage between the two layers of the graphene sheets. This technique can be applied in different applications like mm-wave switches or modulators.
