Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell(PERC) fabricated by using low cost mechanical scribing process for patterning the rear passivation layers has shown considerable potential to achieve high-efficiency over 20% and significant cost reduction. For the Mechanically Scribed (MS)-PERC with random textured front surface, a efficiency of 19.4% was achieved.
