Operable windows and HVAC systems

Despite widespread belief that they waste energy and can cause IAQ problems, operable windows can be successfully integrated with HVAC systems. This article presents modeling results and guidance for integrating mechanical ventilation with natural ventilation in commercial buildings using buildings automation systems.
