On solvents and Lagrange interpolating λ-matrices

@l-matrices are encountered in the study of dynamical systems. This paper discusses some mathematical theory of @l-matrices, in particular solvents and interpolating @l-matrices. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solvents and the corresponding generalized Lagrange interpolating @l-matrices are given. The fundamental properties of the interpolating @l-matrices are given, as well as a computational scheme for the determination of the interpolating matrices.
