General Methods for Benefits Assessment

The preceding chapters have discussed a number of general approaches and methodological frameworks for assessment of health, safety, and environmental benefits, and have examined their conceptual and philosophical foundations in some detail. In this chapter we close our discussion of generic methods with an overview of some specific approaches and techniques that have proven useful in recent benefits assessments.
