TECHNOLOGY An Image Steganography Technique with High Hiding Capacity Based On 24 Bit Color Image

Steganography is the art of hiding the fact that communication is taking place, by hiding informatio n in other information. Many different carrier file form ats can be used, but digital images are the most po pular because of their frequency on the internet. For hiding secr et information in images, there exist a large varie ty of Steganography techniques some are more complex than ot ers and all of them have respective strong and weak points. Different applications may require absolute invisibility of the secret information, while othe rs require a large secret message to be hidden. This paper intends to give an overview of image Steganography, its uses a nd techniques. It also attempts to identify the requir ements of a good Steganography and briefly reflects on which steganographic techniques are more suitable for whi ch applications.
