Measuring Patient Preferences

The recent article by Bass et al.’ compares the &dquo;rating scale&dquo; and &dquo;standard gamble&dquo; techniques for measuring patient preferences for outcomes. They conclude that patients’ preferences differ markedly by the scaling technique used.
